Knives over Forks was part of my journey during my battle with cancer a very aggressive form of breast cancer, I did the unthinkable and refused full dose chemo. Instead I chose to follow the advice of Dr James Forsythe, the very famous doctor from Suzanne Somers book "Knock Out". Treatment was low dose chemo, strict organic diet, low in meat and vitamins all prescribed following chemo sensitivity test. Cost me my savings ( insurance wouldn't cover it) and my job, but So far, 2 years later, my tumor markers are negative, I have my hair and I am healthy. During my chemo I applied to Graduate school and I was accepted to Georgetown in Dc and studying nurse practitioner. I celebrate this film as it raises awareness of the impact of what we choose to put in our mouths. There is much more to cancer than chemotherapy. We need to teach prevention through diet and lifestyle. I wish I could tell the world that cancer is a chronic disease and full dose chemotherapy is not the answer, in many cases it make things worse. It destroy's the immune system and can kill the person. The statistics show we are not winning the cancer war with our current chemo regimens. Indeed most patients are not dying of cancer, because they die from the chemotherapy. There are better ways to control cancer "Knives over forks" is a great educational tool. I also highly recommend "The Compassioante Oncologist" by Dr. James Forsythe as a must read. For now I continue spreading the word one patient at a time. Telling my story and giving "HOPE and HUGZ". If you read this please tell a friend.
