I am asking this for a family that I recently started working for (the dad). They are a family of 5, 4 of whom are disabled. Their story began back east where they were left homeless due to a condo fire. After returning home they went homeless again due to the condo flooding. Bottom line is mom and dad take the insurance money (believing that they hit the jackpot) to Tucson Az. Gave every penny they had to buy this house, well turns out it's a money pit. From electrical problems to plumbing to there is only one exit to use because the other doors simply won't open. This family deserves a break...They are now in debt with Home Depot trying to do the repairs on their own, but really have not accomplished a thing. The sad part of it all is the mom just found out she has Sclerosis of the Liver and is afraid of whats going to happen to her family if she doesn't leave the a decent home to live in when she passes on. Oh did I mention the house also has structural problems as well. I humbly ask you to PLEASE HELP...Thank you in advance..

Is my home in need of a style update?? YES! And can I just not afford one?? YES! My husband and I have been working hard to pay off his childhood home that we moved into a couple of years ago. We only have a few more years until its paid off. Woohoo! There are so many great memories from the early 80s that my husband has of this house. Unfortunately that's not the only thing from the early 80s in this house. Image the Cookie Monster being skinned and rolled out. That was the carpet throughout the house! And have you ever seen lime green paneling with pink flowers? (I wish I could post pictures!) Anyway, we have slowly been making updates when we can afford the time and money. There is so much more to do. I love to bake and can only imagine what it would be like to cook in a functional, updated kitchen. Reading some of the other posts, I can't honestly say that I deserve a home makeover more than others. I can say, however, that I have worked hard for everything I have, and would be super ridiculously appreciative if I was selected. I'd probably do a little happy dance on top of my blue shag carpet. Thanks Ellen!

My name is Angelia i want to use this opportunity to thank my great doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man DR.Abu Fatima brought my husband back to me, i had three lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago i and my husband has been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. i felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. i tried to be strong just for the kids but i could not control the pains that torments my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because i was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would com back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man email address. i was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i deed them all, he told me to wait for just two day and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully deed what this great man asked me to do and for sure after two days i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy.that’s why i want to say a big thank you to DR.Abu Fatima spiritual temple. This great man made me to understand that there is no
problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. you can email him at:abufatima77powerspellcaster@live.com

Would really welcome a complete house make over.
My brothers wife died at 37 years, last week and the house was altered so much as she had Kidney/heart and problems, due to only being able to be downstairs.
The children's mother has died leaving 2 children, age 10 and 11.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Ellen,

We do not own our home but rent a house apartment here in Wallingford,CT.
I don't think will ever be able to afford our own home.
Our apartment has two bedrooms and one living room and a meditation room.
It also includes a food pantry and kitchen. We also have an outdoor porch and live on the second floor.
If we could afford a home it would be one with solar and wind energy a country style home and a yard where we can have a garden and family and friends over that's a dream.
I know an apartment does not count. So we most likely will not hear from you.
I hope you have a blessed day always in your life.Thank you for everything you do to uplift the human spirit.

Hi Ellen, hope all is well with everything. Our house is in new of a makeover. My domestic partner works so hard for us but we still can't afford it. We live in Pennslyvania and he works and spends Monday through Friday in kearny New Jersey where he works. He sleeps in his truck all week or once a week he will go to New York to sleep by sisters house it all depends on what time he gets his job done. We have been through so much since we have been together since 1999. We have gone through the lost of our sons twin in 2007 while I was still pregnant and it still hurts till this day. Thank God every day for our almost 6 year old. We are right now going through a lawyer to modify the mortgage because we can't afford it. We are behind in our mortgage and don't want to lose the house and this was the only way we can try to modify it. The house is in bad shape. The house needs a new roof and paint job and floors. If you are able to just help with the roof that would be greatly appreciated and everything else will come in time. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this.

My husband & I have lived in our house for 30 years and are nearing retirement age. I have always felt that my kitchen is the perfect space for a makeover.. so many possibilities. However, putting myself aside, my thoughts go to our Daughter and her family ( 4 kids) and the rental house they live in ( which we do own). Daughter and her family were moving back to our hometown to raise kids and find new jobs. It is a small town and affordable housing is very hard to come by, especially for a family of 6. With a stroke of luck my husband & I obtained a house very reasonably that was about to go into foreclosure, so the kids would have somewhere to live. With retirement looming in our very near future, we just cannot afford to do much of anything to the house for them and it needs help on so many levels ! Our daughter and son- in- law try to do what they can, but with both parents having full time jobs ( unfortunately small town wages are not the greatest ) , keeping up with 4 kids, expenses and all of their activities, it is very difficult to even keep up with the basics. I feel bad because the house is in a nice neighborhood, but is kind of an eyesore compared to the homes surrounding them. I would give anything if you could maybe help them out so they can be proud of where they live.
Love you Ellen, and your show.

Hi Ellen I love your spirit and your show. My house is yelling for a make over. My husband works on other people homes around the clock sometimes to make ends meet. Especially, since I was laid of my job after twenty one years due to downsizing. I give my best effort to fix up our house by watching the home tv shows, however I am out of my zone. I am an forty-nine year old juvenile diabetic who has found it hard to depend on anyone because I never wanted my desease to cripple me. I volunteer my spare time helping children understand the importance of self respect and manners, also I am the chairman of the sunshine club, a club that gives teachers who dedicate their time to the children church ministry recognition by throwing them a monthly birthday celebration. This club acknowledge those teachers that are sick and in mourning. My husband works with the dialysis patients during the day. If I ever needed a home makeover it would be now because I spend alot more time at home since the only way to find a job now is on line.

Hello Ellen. My family is in need of a home makeover for a home we do not currently live in, but will very soon. My husband, an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran will be getting out of the Army in a few months. We currently live and are stationed at Fort Stewart, GA but will be moving to Hastings, PA. We already have a house bought and ready there for when this happens, but as our finances do not allow us to buy the home of our dreams we have bought a fixer upper. It really is a good house, and really just needs some cosmetic updates (paint, carpet, light fixtures, things like that.) However, it could be a few years before we could afford all of those things and live comfortably as a family in this home. We currently have two daughters and a son on the way (due in 2 months). I can't imagine a better feeling in the world than having a comfortable home to move our family to, and be able to give my husband a break from years of our military lifestyle, welcome a new baby and raise our family together happily and without the stress of any renovations.

Hello everyone i am very happy to share this testimony today, I contacted Dr Aluya in regards of my lover. He no longer wanted to associate with me anymore. He was interested in working out his marriage, after begging and pleading with him I realized it was out of my hands, he really was leaving me. My co-worker went through a similar situation and told me that you had helped her. I can't say how much I'm grateful she introduced me to you. After discussing the resolution with you, you get your lover back spell has done more than what I expected. My lover not only came back to me, but has left his wife and now we are engaged, we are getting married next year, I don't know what I would have done without you. I believe you are my guardian angel you can contact him Via Email aluyakespelltemple@live.com.

Good Morning Ellen From The Beautiful Fields Of Iowa!!!
I was browsing through sites this morning because its a too cold and windy of a day to work outside on my home my daughter an I were given to live in by my family and came across your page. I noticed people where telling why they need help fixing up their homes and my heart literally did a roller coaster drop because of the crisis I face today.
Normally I don't bother in even taking the chance at trying to be picked for one of these make overs, give away, charities, whatever because I was born with what people consider the most tragically messed up unluckiest lives a person could ever have. Trust me there is not another person in this world who is as unfortunate to be Gods little, how much can you take, torture child. However, if you do find one please hurry an save them extremely quick cause only couple tragedies left after you been through them all an sadly those are permanent.
So taking my chance at my very first, please let it be me cause badly need a miracle right now post.
I live in my families home in SW Iowa where for a century now my family has lived generation after generation but is no longer cared about by anyone it seems but me so unfortunately is being considered to be sold by the family that could care less about my daughter, me and my families long time dream. When we were fortunate to be given the home to live in my dad and i had a plan to restore this home together to make up for lost time spent due to serious family problems and me being the black sheep or in my mom and dads eyes, the no good for anything 4th child, the girl. It took a very long time to build a positive relationship with my dad an mom after years of abandonment and neglect but it did happen, just way to late. My dad had many health issues as do I and was scheduled for a back surgery a month in to preparing the house for us to live in and I was scheduled for a surgery shortly after his. My dad came home feeling pretty good and was relieved because normally we end up with the crappy things that could go wrong after a surgery an our served another big helping of , WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS!!, to our plate but now my dad could help me through my surgery and we could finally be there for each other at a time in need. However, the next day with out going in to details I lost my father unexpectedly and all my hopes just went down the crapper with all the other ones that over the years have proved dreams don't come true.
I never was able to finish my home so my grandparents and great grandparents could rest knowing that there hard work and dedication wasn't for nothing. I tried to hire help and received nothing but more setbacks and problems that had to be dealt with only by me. Now its been two years almost and all the work I and the mistakes I hired have done has not made a dent in my uncles eyes so its buy or goodbye. I'm a single mother with little to nothing and no family who cares other then the ones I have lost up to this day. I am so devastated that my grandma who loved her home so much an prayed it would remain a home to someone in the family for many years to come is going to watch from the high heavens it be sold and bulldozed to the ground.
I pray and pray for the strength everyday to not hurt or let my health keep me from still trying. However, I think I may be getting close to the point of, lost hope for the miracle of it being my turn in life to finally be blessed and given that dream come true that makes up for the 36 years of trauma, hurt and pain.
My story is deep but my plea is deeper. Ellen please if your going to help someone fix their home and help someone that is truly in need of a sign that someone in this world still cares about the unfortunate ones. PLEASE ELLEN I beg of you please let it be me. My goal/dream/dedication was finishing what my father and I set out to do back in August of 2012 . Restore my family's century home that was purchased by my family when they moved to the states from Germany years ago. It has so much history that loosing it would be like saying there's no reason to honor what our ancestors have sacrificed for us so we can be where we are today.
This home was apart of the underground railroad, housed a great deal of travelers in the late 1800's, 1900's and now early 2000 years, including the traveling Gypsies that would set up tents on our property during their moves to their next home of choice. House some of the most rarest antiques that were lucky enough to survive all the years that have past and always produced something to benefit others generation after generation proving the statement, Farmers Feed Families.
I have tried to hire people to help me but that has shown me that there is a lot of uncaring evil people in the world so now I sadly stand alone. Chosen or not, I will not give up on keeping my family's dream alive but ask that for once someone care enough to help me so that all my family's hard work building a century farm doesn't end up as ruble on the ground an years of history that remains still here today just a page in a history book.
Thank you for taking the time to read my pinch of a story and whoever you may help, God Bless you Ellen for being the beautiful person you are with a heart that still pumps red. The world is in need of more people like you.
Memorial Day this year I will be on the tour of century homes so going to do my best to finish our 19 acre century farm but pray for a miracle or an angel to save my day and the home were my daughter Alexis and I Kerri will do anything to be able to stay.
