Hello, I am writing to Ellen for my 81 year old PHENOMENAL DAD! He's now caring for my Mom whom is bedridden.. He does EVERYTHING for my Mom and he doesn't complain, matter of fact, HE'S EVERYTHING TO OUR FAMILY! He has used ALOT OF HIS RETIREMENT MONEY HELPING HIS OLDER KIDS AND NOW HE'S STRUGGLING WITH HIS CAR.. Ellen could you please find it in your heart to give my Dad a new car? I can't afford to buy him a car and he so desperately needs one to transport my Mom back and forth to her doctor appointments! You don't know how happy you would make my Dad, @ 81, he says "he's too old to get another car payment! Please Ellen, I would be forever grateful! Prayerfully Submitted, Patti Carter!,

I want to nominate a very needy family. I watch the show every day. On today's show it said to go to: When I went to that site there was no place for me to nominate this family. I would love to hear from you telling me what to do; how to go about this.

Please get back to me as soon as you can.

I am just trying to get hekp with entering the contest for a trip to Austrailia. That would be such a dream come true! Mom always wanted to go but never will since she passed away suddenly and never got to make a "bucket list". It IS on my list, but without a contest like this or a HUGE Lotto win, I will never get there either. Such a beautiful place, I would LOVE to take photos of every bit of nature there. My hobby is nature photography, especially birds.
If I had a real email addy, I could send you a screenshot of the web fail I get every time I try to enter. Last week it told me I was too late to enter, but I saw the contest mentioned on the episode today 2/4/13.
Please help me enter!

I'm a volunteer firefighter for Lake Volunteer Fire Department located in the southern coalfields of Logan County, West Virginia. We are a small rural department with honest, dedicated members and equipment that is becoming more damaged and worn, requiring more frequent repairs. Along with equipment worries, challenges of additional apparatus for our department, to meet the needs of the communities and families we protect, also play a vital role. Now meeting the requirements for a ladder apparatus, only having one pumper for fires and performing water rescue operations and mountain rescue/search and rescues have been a big role of our department every year. Every year our department is called to respond to water rescue emergencies and ATV search and rescues in our mountainess terrain. The problem we face is we do not have the equipment for these services. Now required to have a ladder apparatus and needing an additional pumper to aid on water supply on fire related emergencies is another issue our department faces. Relying on coal severence tax, our department is being faced with not being able to provide efficient fire and rescue service protection to our communities results from the "War on Coal". We are asking for your help in helping us purchase this much needed equipment for our department in efforts to continue Protecting the lives and property of others.

I am a 56 year old Baptist Minister (of some 36 years now). I am very poor and want to work on getting my credit score of 580 built up where I might have a chance of getting a loan to assist me in adequately providing for my needs and my two cats. I owe roughly 25,000.00 but might as well be millions. I have a Bachelor's degree (with honors) in Criminal Justice Administration and am presently working as a Security Guard in Sedalia, MO for $7.50 an hour and simply not making enough to pay my bills. I live in a modest apartment with my two cats Lucky, and Racer. I am contracted out by Guardsman Security and am known as a Sedalia Rover checking bulidings, locks, parking lots, and any other place that I am fortunate to be assigned. As a rover, I put from 35 to 40 miles on my car daily, pay for my own gas and upkeep on my own car and do not get reimbursed for the gas. I work 7 days a week, on the average 41 hours a week and have worked over 750 days without getting a vacation or even a day off. I am a diebetic and in need of medication that I simply cannot afford. I have no insurance, no benefits at all and simply am running out of hope of ever getting back to square one. I did not have the money for Christmas but dipped into my apartment rent money to provide a few gifts for my family and new sweetheart. I have been put out to pasture (instead of pastor), for my two divorces which in a Baptist Church, I have committed the unpardonable sin. I am in need of help to barely survice. I tried for foodstamps but was turned down for I make too much money. I get food from the Open Door Ministry here in Sedalia, Missouri. I have gone through two back surgeries which have resulted in two steel rods in my back (thus my e-mail address of " I have acid reflux, an arthritic condition, diabetes, carpal tunnel now in both my wrists but cannot affort to get them taken care of. My feet hurt with neuropathy, my wrists with carpal tunnel and my hope full at the present time of gloom and despair. I have been very generous in the past in helping others and would give them the shirt off of my back which is one reason that I am so broke today. Is there any help out there for me. I am a good guy, a good hard worker, and would just love to lay my head down at night knowing that I am a good steward of what I have been given.

Hi Ellen, I've seen shows where you were extremely generous to deserving people. I just lost my lifelong best friend and music partner after complicatiins from surgery. He was married to a terrific woman named Trish. Raised three very talented. Pete was hurt and unable to work quite a while ago so they had to live off Trish's salary as a waitress. They live in an old shut down coalmining town and trying to keep their head above water has
been a struggle for alot of years. Now that Pete has passed Trish can't make it and is scared she won't be able to save her home. She drives a brokedown jeep cherokee with bald tires and brakes that barely work. Sad thing is her mortgage is only $440.00 a month. If
